Microwax

Microwax is added to regular wax for three reasons:

1. It keeps mottling, or "snowflakes" from forming in the core candles.

2. It helps layers of the carved candle to stick together better.

3. It makes the regular wax more elastic.

This microwax has a meltpoint of around 140 F degrees and is packaged in 8 pieces of .5 pounds. Mix it 1 ounce microwax to 4 lbs of the regular wax, both for core candles and for dipping wax. If you add more microwax it will not hurt, but do not add more than 2 ounces per 4 lbs of regular wax. The microwax is needed to be mixed with the IGI 1239 wax. Some other waxes may not need the addition of microwax. Microwax is also called Micro or Microcrystalline wax, and comes in different meltpoints.
